Celebrity couple, Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony, began dating back in 2004 following the split of Lopez from Ben Affleck, whom she was engaged to. Lopez and Anthony, who had been long time friends, tied the knot shortly after they had started dating and within a few years they had their first child. The couple separated in 2011 and in 2012, Anthony filed for divorce. After their separation Lopez began dating Casper Smart who was a former backup dancer for her. Anthony also began dating, and has been linked to Chloe Green.
While Anthony and Lopez have moved on, the divorce case has still remained pending. A new update occurred this past week when Jennifer filed a new document almost two years later. In the new document she requested that her name be changed from Jennifer Muniz back to Jennifer Lopez. Another request that has been made in the document is that the couple share joint legal and physical custody of their five year old twins. This is the same request that Anthony had made in his original petition.
Lopez has stated that while she never planned to get divorced and expected that they would be married for good, she realized that it was a better situation for the couple to part ways. She has also gone on record saying that she believes the change was positive for her children and that they are happy, healthy and extremely loved.
