There have been several highlighted celebrity uncontested divorces this year and Jane Lynch and Dr. Lara Embry have recently been added to the list. The news has brought a lot of sympathy from the general public. Both Lynch and Embry have asked for their divorce to be kept private.
It seems that they will have an amicable uncontested divorce. Embry and Lynch have stated their disappointment and the difficulty they had in making the decision to divorce. Also, they stated they care for each other deeply.
The couple meet in 2009 during a fundraiser for the National Center for Lesbian Rights, held in San Francisco. At the time Embry was being honored. Dr. Embry declared to Vogue in 2011 that it was love at first sight. By 2010 the blissful couple was married in a small wedding, attended by nineteen friends, in Massachusetts, over Memorial Day Weekend. Massachusetts is one of the states which permits same sex marriages.
After the wedding, Jane Lynch became a proud mom to stepdaughters Haden and Chase. During an interview with People magazine in 2012 Lynch declared she would do anything for her children. After nearly three years of marriage it will be interesting to see how their marital settlement agreement works out for the children.
As of this moment, no specifics on the reason for their divorce have been given. Some speculate that their recent renovation may have been the reason for the split. The couple was remodeling their Hollywood Hills home when they decided to no longer continue their marriage. Speculation surrounding John Cena's (professional wrestler) divorce was also centered around a renovation.
