Good Morning America's Lara Spencer is Getting Divorced

|

Good Morning America's co-host, Lara Spencer announced that she and her husband, David Haffenreffer are filing for divorce. The couple released a statement to Page Six in March, explaining their decision to divorce after 15 years of marriage, and two children.

In their statement, the couple said that after a lot of thought, care and consideration, they have decided to end their marriage. While it is a decision that did not come easily, the couple's children remain their top priority. They intend to care for and raise their children together.

Lara Christine Von Seelen, known professionally as "Lara Spencer" is an American television journalist, and best known for being the co-anchor of ABC's Good Morning America, and as a correspondent for Nightline and ABC News.

Her big break came while working for News 12 Long Island, where she covered the TWA Flight 800 crash. In 1999, she joined ABC's Good Morning America as a national correspondent.

Before Spencer joined GMA as a co-host, she was the show's lifestyle anchor, and before that she hosted The Insider.

Spencer and Haffenreffer Split Amicably

The couple, who lives in Greenwich, Connecticut told Page Six that the split is amicable and they are remaining friends. Today, Haffenreffer is a broker at Houlihan Lawrence in Greenwich. Spencer became a co-host at GMA in April after serving as a lifestyle anchor for the show since 2011.
