Christine and Kody Brown from the TLC reality show “Sister Wives” have broken up after 25 years together. The couple has been in a spiritual union that includes three other women, Meri, Janelle, and Robyn. Christine Brown made the choice to be in a spiritual union early in life at the age of 19, and she was raised by parents in a plural marriage. She and Kody entered into their spiritual union in March of 1994, and they share six children: Aspyn, Mykelti, Gwendlyn, Paedon, Ysabel, and Truely.
Christine announced the separation on Instagram earlier this month, posting a picture of a setting sun landscape with the following message:
“After more than 25 years together, Kody and I have grown apart and I have made the difficult decision to leave; we will continue to be a strong presence in each other’s lives as we parent our beautiful children and support our wonderful family. At this time, we ask for your grace and kindness as we navigate through this stage within our family."
After Christine’s statement, Kody Brown took to Instagram to post the following statement:
"Christine’s decision to leave comes with a great deal of sadness. We enjoyed many years together, and I have a large amount of respect and admiration for her. Although we are moving forward on different paths, we will always remain committed parents."
Moving On Separately
Christine has already moved on from Kody, literally. A while ago, the Brown family left Nevada to move to Arizona, and since a legal change, the family has been going back and forth over moving back to Utah. Christine and Meri were part of the family hoping to move back to Utah. The family voted and decided to remain in Arizona, but now that Christine and Kody have split, she has sold her home in Arizona and moved back to Utah alone.
