Pappas initially filed for divorce in January 2021 in Los Angeles County Courts. In obtained court documents, Stagliano has responded and is fighting for joint custody of their children. In his response, he has also:
- Cited irreconcilable differences as the reason for their divorce.
- Claims the couple officially separated in August 2022.
- Claims that how their assets are classified (marital vs. separate property) has not yet been determined.
